Nagaur. AAP Leader and MP (Rajya Sabha) has sent a legal notice on Saturday to the Enforcement Directorate to apologize for defaming his public image by imputing false charges of his involvement in the alleged Delhi Liquor Policy Case. He said that there is no evidence to show that he was involved but only a statement recorded on Oct.1,2022 of some Dinesh Arora under the provisions of section 50 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
Addressed to the Director of ED Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Additional Director Jogender the notice states to issue an open and public apology within 48 hours of the receipt of this notice for the harassment and mental agony faced by Sanjay Singh.
“Please note that ED is severely liable for such misdeed done with malicious intent. If you fail to comply with the above within 48 hours of the date of receipt of this notice, I have instructions to initiate appropriate civil and criminal proceedings against you before the competent court………..”
When asked, The Member of Rajya Sabha further said that it is regrettable that the ED, which is supposed to be impartial in all its proceedings, has intentionally added his name showing its resorting nature to level such baseless and motivated allegations against him. He said that he will not tolerate such types of character assassination and has decided to take legal action against the responsible officials.
